24!?!

No I am not talking about the show 24 that dh and I have been watching this summer. I am talking about the size 24. My mil had someone at work give her some clothes. Most are size 22, 20, and 18, but there was one pair of size 24 and guess what? They fit me! I know 24 is still big but I was wearing 28/30's so that is a HUGE improvement and you can find neat clothes in size 24 too even at Walmart! Mark this down as another WOW moment for me!

Another WOW Moment!

Well, I had another WOW moment today. I went to the doctor and as I was sitting in the chair in the exam room waiting and I noticed that I have a lap. lol! Yes, I said it a lap. I remember being at the doctor last December weighing 323.8 pounds and I really could not even sit in the chair because I was so big. When the nurse weighed me in it said 268. I just do not remember ever going to the doctor and weighing that. I have always weighed like 280 or more. So, that was a great feeling. One nurse who used to work in the office of my ob saw me and said that I looked like a new person. Wow, do I really look like a new person? The doctor that I saw was the first one who told me I should try weight watchers. She was shocked that I lost so much. She made a statement about several of her friends who had lost 50 some pounds and gained it back several times and she wondered if I was going to do the same. That kind of hurt because I have been doing so well, but I think she was just trying to gauge how serious I really was about losing the weight. But anyways I had another WOW moment and wanted to write about it.

A WOW Moment!

My cyber friend Michelle has You Go Girl post which is where she brags on herself. I am going to have WOW moments on here when I finally do something right or something finally sinks in or just a WOW moment for me. Well, I had a WOW moment today while at church. I did not go last week because all my kids were sick so people have not seen me for awhile and everyone kept saying I was still shrinking. Sometimes that is really hard for me to see because well I guess I do not look at myself all the time like others do, lol! I just usually take the complements and go on. This time as I was walking out of the bathroom, I stood in front of the full length mirror a little longer to really look at myself. I was shocked at what I saw! I really am getting smaller and it made me feel so good! It actually gave me the boost I needed to go on some more! :) My dress that I wear to church is about to fall off of me as all my clothes are! :) I went to our new Good Will Store and saw several nice dresses for $5. I really think I am going to go back and get at least one. Since I know I am going to lose more weight, I really do not want to spend a lot of money on clothes right now. Anyways, this might just be a crazy post, but it really was a WOW moment for me! If you are losing weight and lost a bit I recommend going and standing in front of a full length mirror, it might just surprise you!
